I didn't know it at the time, but the reason a peer 8th grader was getting moved up to the high school youth group with my older BFF, Rachel Fox was because that peer 8th grader was actually pregnant at age 13.
Yesterday, July 9th in Katie's 7th Grade Prayer Journal, I was crying out to God, feeling that the peer's move to the high school youth group  which would mean HER being present with MY older BFF was completely UNJUST. What I didn't know is the cost of her choices and that being with older kids was a mercy to her on behalf of the junior high and high school youth group leaders.
Today's podcast isn't about teen pregnancy but I will say that in our home, we've had a rule since our sons were very young that they could not even date until they could support a wife. We also explained why and praise God our sons have honored that rule. Celebacy/abstinence is what God says are best until marriage. LOL when the God of the universe gives advice, it is foolish to ignore. Praise God for his word and wisdom!
